About

The person behind the systems.

Founder
Rick
Builder of FixedTrader · Systematic trader since 2015

I started building rule-based trading systems in 2015 after years of discretionary trading. The problem with discretion is that it's impossible to replicate — you can't scale something that depends on how you feel that morning. So I started writing rules. If the setup doesn't match the criteria exactly, there is no trade.

The systems on this site are the ones I run on my own live account. I don't sell systems I don't trade. Every backtest report included with a purchase shows the full history — including the losing months — because that's the only honest way to present performance.

FixedTrader exists because I couldn't find what I was looking for: systematic forex algorithms at a serious price point, with transparent data, built by someone who actually uses them.

Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know before purchasing.

What exactly do I receive after purchasing?
You receive a personalised .ex5 Expert Advisor file compiled and locked to your MT5 account number, full rule documentation explaining every entry and exit condition, a complete backtest report covering 2015–2025, and a step-by-step video walkthrough for installation and setup.
Do I need trading experience or coding knowledge?
No coding required. You need a basic understanding of MetaTrader 5 — how to open an account, deposit funds, and attach an EA to a chart. The video walkthrough covers every step from MT5 download to going live. If you have never used MT5 before, allow 1–2 hours to get set up.
Which broker do I need?
Any MT5-compatible broker works. For best results, use an ECN broker with low spreads on the pairs covered. Recommended brokers are listed in the setup documentation included with your purchase.
How much starting capital do I need?
As a general guideline: $2,000–$5,000 for the Mean Reversion System and $5,000+ for the Breakout System or The Full System. These figures allow proper position sizing at conservative risk levels — lower capital increases relative drawdown risk.
Can I use this on a prop firm account?
The Private Markets systems are optimised for personal and institutional accounts. Prop firm-specific algorithms are coming soon under the Prop Firm tab — built with strict daily drawdown limits and challenge-compatible settings. Sign up for early access notification there.
How many accounts can I run the EA on?
One licence covers one MT5 account number. The EA is compiled specifically for your account and will not run on any other account. Contact us for multi-licence pricing.
Do I need to keep my computer running?
MT5 needs to be running for the EA to execute trades. For uninterrupted automated trading, a Virtual Private Server (VPS) is strongly recommended — most brokers offer a free VPS once certain volume conditions are met. Setup instructions are included in your documentation.
What is your refund policy?
All sales are final. Because the EA is a digital product compiled specifically for your account number, it cannot be returned or resold once delivered. Please review all documentation and backtest reports carefully before purchasing. If you have questions, contact us first.
Is this financial advice?
No. FixedTrader sells software products only. Nothing on this site constitutes financial advice, investment advice, or a recommendation to trade. You are solely responsible for your own trading decisions and any resulting gains or losses. Past backtest performance is not indicative of future results.

"The edge isn't in a secret indicator. It's in doing the same thing, under the same conditions, without exception."

Every rule in these systems exists because at some point, not having it cost money. The Full System is the result of 11 years of that process — documented, backtested, and traded live.

Note on daily drawdown: Prop firms apply a −5% daily drawdown limit that cannot be accurately modelled using monthly data. A month returning −3% could contain a single day at −4.8%, breaching the limit. Passing rates are therefore optimistic estimates.
